Porcelain Veneers

These are wafer thin, tooth-colored shells that are designed to cement to the front of teeth requiring repair. They are suitable to treat broken or chipped teeth; misaligned, worn, or uneven dentition; and the gaps created by abnormally spaced teeth appear to close.

Veneers will not correct dental problems; they are designed to camouflage your dental irregularities allowing you to enjoy a beautiful smile without undergoing years of dental work.

The veneer process is irreversible as on treatment day a small amount of dental enamel is removed from the front of teeth to be corrected. This will allow veneers to be cemented in place creating symmetry with untreated teeth.

The dental lab will fabricate veneers in the same shade and shape as surrounding teeth; it is important to note that porcelain is stain resistant, but that means it will not respond to whitening products. If you wish to whiten teeth, that should be done first so veneers can be matched to your newly brightened shade.
